Well, I am back - sorta :) ( I see a LOT of new faces around here, and a few I recognize - HI :) )|
I took a bit of hiatus for the holidays and wedding stuff (which was lovely)
I did not get even close to my goal weight for the wedding, but if I did I would have had to remake my dress anyway, so eh, whatever, I looked good, I was happy, and it was OK.
I have gained a few pounds over the past few weeks because my eating is just CRAZY lately, though I can't figure out why. I am just gorging myself on everything I see. Fortunately I have started an exercise regimen with a neighbor/co-worker who keeps me accountable (at least for exercise). We are doing something like that Couch to 5K program where you slowly work up to jogging for an hour straight. So far we go three minutes at the longest, but hey, you gotta start somewhere :)
So, the bad part - we get up and go at 5AM! Ick, a bit early for me, but I HAVE to do this, and having a buddy is the only way I can get myself going lately. The program has us jogging 3 days a week, but we have decided to also add 3 days a week of weight training. I am totally worn out this week, but it will get so much better, I can't wait. We are planning on a 5K in April, and some of our marathon-running friends have asked us if we want to do a marathon relay race (each of us would have to run over 5 miles I think.....ummm, don't know abou tthat)....
So, I am sore, tired, and still not losing weight, but I am also still optimistic. That is a good thing. Once I get my eating under control, pounds will just fall off of me and be left behind as I run my 5k. Or something. :)
